What do you think?

The countertops in the kitchen are complete! I think that they look great! The colors will look awesome with all the appliances and fixtures we are putting in the kitchen. I am not very happen with the trim colors, but Haley says it looks good. I think that they don't mesh with the wood that is being put in, but she is the woman! I sounded really gay a minute ago! I was hoping that the trim and door color would be a little darker, but we are stuck with our decision!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe how much got done while we were gone. They poured the cement for the driveway and the walkway, painted the walls, put in the kitchen cabinets, layed the laminate, and put in most of the doors. We are getting so excited at how fast it is going. It is starting to look more and more like a house.

ROAD TRIP!

Last Wednesday Kyle and I went to Arizona to bring home our cars and stuff. Thank you to everyone who came over and helped us pack up our stuff. We left on Friday and went to Las Vegas. Everything was going smoothly until we got to the check point at the Hoover Dam and got stopped because one of the lights on the trailer went out so the nice gaurd helped us out and fixed it for us we were very grateful. The Hoover Dam was so cool that was my first time seeing it. We got in around 9:30 to Vegas. The next morning we decided to get on the monorail and go to the strip for a couple hours. We had so much fun just walking around and looking at the new hotels that weren't there the last time we were. We tried our hand at the slots a little bit (Kyle was the lucky one). Then we went to the M&Ms world (my favorite place of course). Then we were off to Idaho we hit a really ruff dust storm in Twin Falls that made our check engine light come on and we thought we were in trouble but it was just because of the high wind (lucky us). We stayed in Boise on Saturday night and left for Oregon on Sunday morning. We got home Sunday night about 7pm. It was really nice to have some alone time with Kyle.

Chuck E. Cheeses

Today we went to Chuck E Cheeses with my sister's family, Amie's family, and Jerrod's brothers family. I was really scared to see how packed it was there but I was pleasantly surprised when we showed up and it was pretty empty(sigh). Even better was that the kids did great! No one got lost or hurt and all got along rather well. Thanks for inviting us Megs. We are going to miss your family when you leave.

Notice anything different?

They finally put the garage door on the house. Inside they are texturing the walls. They were supposed to be done by today, which they very well could be I am not sure. They also leveled the ground around the home in preperation for concrete driveway, walkway and front step. It is starting to look more and more like a home. Haley and I will be coming into town next Wednesday, so we will not get to see the house until we come back! Just a reminder that on the 19th we need as much help as we can get to load our things for the move. Any questions please call me.

Bug Collecting.

The siding is all done. I went by the house today with Brian Coatney so that he could help me figure out what to do with my fence and to estimate cost. The outside is nearly complete minus the stone in the front, the yard, and the concrete work. Inside the house they have finished all of the insulation. All the drywall is sitting in it's area waiting to be put up on the walls, and ceiling. Once they have all of the drywall put together on one side of each wall they will have to insulate those areas. It is coming together very nicely. The colors on the outside are brookstone siding (greyish green) with white trim, black shutters, front door, and a darker stone. Haley is kind of unsure about the outside color of the siding, but I think it is a perfect color. Not so dark it stands out and not too light that it collects dirt. I am very happy so far! Excited to see the inside come together!

Ouch!

The results are in. It is a ACL & Medial Meniscus Tear! I will eventually need surgery, but they said with some PT I can wait up to 4 years. I just won't be able to play sports. This sucks! I will still be able to work, which the only important thing. Ah well it could have been worse, but it still really SUCKS!

You missed a spot!

The "workers" (Haley doesn't like it when I use the country they are from to reference them!) are siding the house! They should be done by now, but we took this earlier in the day. Now that they have completed most of the inspections for the interior they will start to insulate and drywall within the next two weeks. The grey trim is where they are going to put some stone. It is coming together!
